The topics for the November 17 forum will be Education and Income & Wealth Inequality incorporating Childcare and Housing. Questions will be posed by two expert moderators. Education will be handled by Kenya Donaldson, President, Guilford County Association of Educators. Deena Hayes-Greene will pose the economic questions to our panel. Ms. Hayes-Greene is the Director of the Racial Equity Institute and Chair of the Guilford County Board of Education.\nCandidates scheduled to appear:\n– Chrelle Booker, Mayor Pro Tempore, Tryon Town Council, Polk County\n– Jeff Jackson, Attorney, representing the 37th District in the NC Senate since 2014\n– Constance Lov Johnson, PhD, President, Black Legislative American Caucus\n– Tobias LaGrone, DMin, CEO/Clinical Director, Behavioral Intelligence Group, Inc.\n– Erica Smith, Engineer, represented the 3rd District in the NC Senate 2015- 2021\n– Richard L. Watkins, PhD, Founder and CEO, Science Policy Action Network, Inc.\nThe Town Halls are sponsored by the Democratic Party of Guilford County, Indivisible of Guilford County, and the NAACP Gate City Youth Council. Each Town Hall covers different issues of primary concern to the American people with emphasis on the relevance in our home state.\nThe January 19, 2022 Town Hall will give candidates the opportunity to speak on Immigration and Climate Change, followed by questions from the audience.
