Coleman. The meeting, which will be held via Zoom, will begin at 6:30 p.m. Only those members of the CEC who live in County Commission District 7 (Coleman’s district) will be able to vote. The meeting will be livestreamed for those who do not live in District 7.\nBelow is an alphabetical list of the people who have declared their candidacy for the seat. Jones, Jr., Esq. earned his undergraduate degree from Davidson College and his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the University of Virginia School of Law. He moved to Greensboro in 2008 to join Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP where he rose to the partnership ranks. He is currently a Vice President in the Investments Department at Lincoln Financial. His local government experience includes Guilford County Planning Board Chairman, Greensboro Zoning Commission, and Piedmont Triad Regional Water Authority. Frankie is a member of several organizations including the NAACP (Silver Life Member). His wife, Ashley, is a Bennett College alumna, a licensed funeral director, and has a Master’s in Public Health.\nDOUGLAS (RICK) MORTON\n\nThe name is Douglas (Rick) Morton, I was born & raised in Asheville N.C., and I’ve been a resident of Guilford County for the past 30 years. I’ve been married to Candace Morton (attorney) for 26 years and the father of four children.\nThe last 20 years, I have been a noteworthy leader in the Barber industry as a Barber, Multiple Shop Owner, www.headsupbarberandbeauty.com , License Instructor, and Founder/Organizer for “Heads Up For Our Youth”. www.headsupforouryouth.com .
