DESCRIPTION:We were heartbroken to learn that our good friend and former Chair, Betsy Fox, lost her battle\nwith ALS early Tuesday morning. Betsy began volunteering with the GCDP more than 20 years\nago, working in the office one day a week. She went on to serve as our Treasurer, then\nGreensboro Vice Chair and First Vice Chair. Along the way she was also a Precinct Chair, poll\ngreeter, poll observer, SEC Member, CEC Member, Treasurer for Democratic Women, a\ndelegate to the 2008 National Convention and our 2011 Democrat of the Year. She was the\nperson we called whenever help was needed. In January 2020, when we needed a new Chair, she\nstepped up to finish the unexpired term of Nicole Quick. COVID was on the horizon, but we\ndidn’t know how that would affect a presidential election year. We soon found out and Betsy\nguided us through, working long hours with our team. She is already deeply missed by those of\nus who worked with her and knew her best.
