Greensboro City Council Meeting
***GREENSBORO CITY COUNCIL TO CONSIDER MEDICARE FOR ALL RESOLUTION***
Thanks to the efforts of Hon. Yvonne Johnson, the Greensboro City Council will consider passing a resolution in favor of Medicare for All. Consideration takes place on at the Greensboro City Council meeting Monday, October 3, 5:30 p.m. at the Melvin Municipal Office Building. (Please note the City Council Meeting has been moved to Monday in observance of Yom Kippur). Supporters will gather outside the Municipal Building at 4:45 p.m.
The Resolution calls upon the City to endorse Medicare for All legislation and to urge our Congressional Representative and U.S. Senators to pass such legislation. Local governments are in a good position to advocate to federal representatives regarding the needs of their cities and residents. You can email City Council Members to share your thoughts on the matter or consider
speaking directly to the Council on October 3 either in person or via Zoom.
