The Guilford County Democratic Party’s Service to Others Team will host a “Winter Giveaway” event December 23 at Superior Foods, 220 N. Centennial Ave, High Point. On December 9, GCDP Headquarters will be open to receive donations from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This will be a drive through and drop off event. We will need a few volunteers to assist with receiving donations. If you would like to volunteer for this event, please contact Mitzi Turner at Mitziturner@guilforddems.org or (336) 509-2224. Folks who live in High Point, or cannot drop off their donations on December 9, can call Mitzi to arrange a drop-off or pick-up time. HQ is located at 2300 W. Meadowview Road (Wrightsville Building) in Greensboro.
If you are able to donate to the drive, please see below for a list of desired items:
New or gently used gloves, winter hats, blankets, throws, sweaters, coats, and boots.
We also collect canned goods (easy open), hand sanitizer, wet wipes, deodorant, manual can openers, and pre-packaged utensils. We will also accept monetary donations.
