A critical part of good citizenship is being educated on issues and how they affect all reaches of our society and community. To that end, the Guilford County Democratic Party’s Issues Committee is joining RISE Together Piedmont Triad in hosting social justice book club discussions every other month. Location will alternate between Greensboro and High Point, and event details will be posted in advance on the GCDP website calendar and here in the eblast. Everyone is welcome – come to one meeting or come to them all.
Book options were submitted by members of RISE Together Piedmont Triad and/or GCDP Issues Committee and final choices were determined by survey.
Our first meeting of 2023 will be Thursday, February 16, 6 p.m. at Scuppernong Books, 304 S. Elm St. Greensboro (Zoom also available). We will be discussing Blowout: Corrupted Democracy, Rogue State Russia, and the Richest, Most Destructive Industry on Earth by Rachel Maddow.
