A powerful conversation bringing together local educational leaders and statewide advocates
dedicated to protecting every student’s right to a fair and equitable education. This panel will
explore pressing challenges and bold solutions to ensure that all children—regardless of
background, zip code, or circumstance—have the opportunity to thrive in the classroom and
beyond.
Panelists include N.C. Supreme Court Justice Anita Earls, Joanna Pendleton (GCS Teacher and
President of the GCAE), Monica Walker (Executive Director of the GSC Office of DEI), and
Justin Parmenter (CMS Teacher, Public School Activist, and reporter at Notes from the
Chalkboard and NC Newsline).
