***HELP NEEDED – GCDP LOOKING FOR NEW FIRST VICE CHAIR***
The Guilford County Democratic Party is looking for someone to fill the position of First Vice Chair.
Duties of the 1st Vice Chair include working with the Chair to develop and implement an election plan,
and organizing and coordinating GCDP election events, i.e., canvasses and phone banks.
Criteria:
1. Must be under the age of 35
2. Must be willing to contact volunteers via phone
3. Must be able to learn how to use VoteBuilder on several levels

The replacement will be elected by members of the County Executive Committee at a meeting
Wednesday, May 13 via Zoom at 6:30 p.m. (room opens at 6 p.m.).

Christopher Goldman
Christopher Goldman brings more than a decade of service with The Citadel Church and Campus
Ministries, combining community engagement, event planning, and voter outreach experience. While
attending NC A&T, he partnered with The Citadel to develop student-centered community programming
and has since supported every stage of event organizing, from concept development to grassroots
canvassing. Chris has worked on three political campaigns, using tools such as MiniVAN and phone
banking to strengthen Get Out the Vote efforts. He has also served as a poll worker across multiple
election cycles. Chris is committed to helping GCDP expand voter engagement year-round across
communities.
Kema Leonard
Kema Leonard is a lifelong resident of Guilford County, serving our county party as president of the
Young Democrats. He has over 4 years of campaign and VoteBuilder experience and 8 years of
experience organizing. He has served the party in roles at the local, state and national level, engaging,
mobilizing, and representing youth voices at the table.
Previously, Kema led a statewide team of young folks to lobby universities to submit their student IDs
and valid voter IDs and tripled the number of college democrat chapters across the state, making NC the
largest federation in the country.
