Last month, the Guilford County Board of Elections voted on early voting sites for the 2024 Primary in March. The three Democratic members of the Board voted to have 17 early voting locations open in Guilford County. However, because the two Republican members did not agree with the plan, it was not approved unanimously and had to be submitted to the State Board of Elections. The Republicans also have submitted their own plan which eliminates Barber Park, N.C. A&T and UNCG as early voting locations and adds the Greensboro Coliseum.
Next Tuesday, December 19, the State Board of Elections will hold a hearing to determine which plan will be used. Public comments are currently being accepted online.
