Words that express how deeply grateful I am for each, and every volunteer do not exist. Guilford
County showed up for this election in a big way, and that is a direct result of what you did. Every
postcard you wrote, every doughnut you donated, every lit packet you assembled, every phone
number you dialed, every call you answered, every sign you assembled and staked, every door
you knocked, every slate card you handed out, and every vote you observed made a hell of a
difference on November 5, and I thank you.
I know that the outcome of this election was a shock and a huge disappointment, but I also know
that our work is not done. Our country cannot afford for us to throw in the towel. We must fight
for the country we love even if it feels like our country does not love us right now, because that
is fake news. Our country needs us to stand in the breach and be a bulwark for what is headed
our way. We are powerful. Our strength is in our weave, and our nets are secure. Together, we
will forge ahead. Together, we will succeed.
