***SERVICE TO OTHERS BOOK DRIVE— A BIG THANK YOU AND MORE
OPPORTUNITIES TO HELP***
Thanks to everyone who has donated books to our Service To Others (STO) Book Drive! The response
has been overwhelming and for now we are no longer collecting books. Dates, times and locations for
the summer reading giveaway will be announced soon.
On June 5, STO will host a community giving event at the Commander Peace Academy in High Point.
We will be giving away books, games, water bottles and food to young men ages 8-16. We are asking for
donations of ready-to-eat foods such as Pop Tarts, breakfast bars, beans and franks, Spaghetti O’s, Tuna
Creations, Hormel Completes, mac and cheese heat and serve cups, Chef Boyardee items, microwave soup
cups, breakfast cereal cups, pudding packs, and Capri Sun.
Items can be dropped off at Headquarters, 2300 W. Meadowview Road, Greensboro (Wrightsville
Building), Suite 110 Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. or 7538 Sunnyvale Dr., High Point. The
last day to donate is May 29.
***PLEASE NOTE: GCDP HQ WILL BE CLOSED MAY 26-MAY 30. If you need to drop off items
in Greensboro that week, contact Mitzi Turner at the email below to set up a time.***
